Overnight Care for Blaine Dogs on a 12-Acre Farm

From the waterfront along Drayton Harbor to the quiet roads east of town, Blaine dogs deserve a getaway that feels like a treat instead of a wait. That’s the thinking behind dog boarding at Hyline Hotel for Dogs, where each stay is built around comfort and plenty of fun.

Our 12-acre farm sits in the heart of Whatcom County, and families make the trip from Blaine, Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, and the towns in between. Rather than a cramped kennel run, your dog gets a secure, thoughtfully organized setting with room to stretch out and something new to discover every day.

Some dogs live for a romp with new friends; others would rather have a quiet moment with a favorite handler. Either way, our team shapes the care around your pup, keeps a watchful eye on every guest, and gives them wide-open ground to sprint, sniff, and wander. While your dog splits the day between our lively play yards and a climate-controlled kennel, you can enjoy your own plans with total peace of mind, knowing they’re #HylineHappy.

Structured & Enriching Dog Boarding Activities

A dog who gets daily exercise and friendly social time is a happier, more settled dog. Boarding guests head out to our open fields several times a day, with no fewer than four structured play sessions spread from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Here’s how we keep every playgroup safe, relaxed, and under control:

  • No playgroup ever grows beyond 10 dogs.
  • Typically, you’ll find just 3–6 dogs in a group, so most sessions stay small.
  • Placement depends on each dog’s temperament and how comfortable they feel.
  • Experienced professional handlers supervise every session from start to finish.

Not every dog wants a crowd. Guests who would rather spend time with people than with a pack can enjoy extra one-on-one field time, moving at whatever pace suits them.

You’ll never find us putting a dog in a situation that makes them uneasy. Their comfort and confidence, along with their overall wellbeing, lead every decision we make.

Why Blaine Pet Parents Choose Hyline Hotel

Blaine dogs know the good spots: the waterfront path at Blaine Marine Park, the shoreline along Semiahmoo Spit, and the open lawns of Peace Arch Historical State Park, where the international border runs right through the gardens. With Drayton Harbor on one side and farm country stretching east, this is a town where the daily walk usually comes with a view of the water and a breeze off the bay.

Living this close to the border also means Blaine families are often on the move, whether it’s a trip into British Columbia, a flight out of Bellingham, or a long weekend on the road. That’s when they turn to Hyline. Our farm is within easy driving distance in Whatcom County’s countryside, and the same damp, breezy coastal weather that keeps Blaine so green is exactly why our climate-controlled kennels and covered patios matter. Dogs get a safe, active stay, and their owners get to travel without the worry.

How to Get Here from Blaine

Bringing your dog down from Blaine takes less than half an hour. Hop on I-5 South just outside town and cruise about 12 miles to Ferndale, where you’ll take Exit 262 for W Axton Rd/Main St. From the exit, stay on W Axton Rd for roughly 7.6 miles through the farmland until you reach Hyline Hotel for Dogs at 1012 E Hemmi Rd in Everson. All told, it’s about a 21-mile trip that usually runs around 27 minutes.
