Trusted Dog Daycare Near Blaine, WA
Long shifts, commutes, errands that stretch into the afternoon — whatever keeps you out of the house, your dog is still home working through it in their own way. Some sleep it off. Others invent a project involving the couch cushions. Our dog daycare near Blaine, WA gives them a better option: a full day of running, sniffing, problem-solving, and actual dog company.
The version of your dog waiting for you that evening is the payoff. Worn out in the good way, done needing the house to entertain them, and perfectly content to settle in beside you. A tired dog really is a happy dog — and a much easier roommate.
How Our Daycare Near Blaine, WA Is Built Differently
What Blaine Dogs Get Out of a Regular Daycare Routine
Coming in consistently — not just once in a while — is where daycare starts paying real dividends for a dog’s body and mind.
- Exercise: Movement is a need, not a luxury. Wide-open yards give dogs somewhere to sprint, investigate, and work off energy without hazards in the way.
- Socialization: Reading other dogs and taking cues from seasoned handlers sharpens a dog’s social instincts and steadily builds confidence.
- Mental Stimulation: Guided games, group activities, and reinforcement work keep a dog’s brain occupied so boredom never gets a foothold.
- Behavior Support: Chewing, digging, and nonstop barking usually trace back to unspent energy. A dog getting enough exercise and social time rarely goes looking for that kind of outlet.

Day Stay Daycare
$41 Single Day Rate (Discounted Package Rates Below)
Day Stay exists for dogs who do their best in a quieter setting with more individual attention.
Ideal for dogs who:
- Feel more comfortable in small, low-key groups.
- Hit their limit quickly in busier environments.
- Haven’t had much social exposure yet.
- Would rather spend time with staff than a crowd.
We take time to read each dog, pair them with the right companions, and steer interactions so the day stays calm and positive. Plenty of dogs eventually work their way into Play & Learn once their confidence catches up — but only when they’re ready, never on our schedule. Since Day Stay takes more hands-on attention, we can only hold a limited number of spots.

Your Dog’s First Day Is on Us
We like your odds of loving this place, so we cover your dog’s first day of daycare — or boarding — ourselves.
Here’s what our team handles on that first visit:
- Run a temperament assessment.
- Get the full picture of your dog’s background, personality, and preferences.
- Point you toward the program that actually suits them.
Nobody flunks the temperament assessment. It’s a placement tool, plain and simple — a way for us to figure out where your dog will be happiest and do best.
If Day Stay turns out to be the right call but every spot is taken, you’re welcome on the waitlist. Boarding stays open to waitlisted dogs in the meantime, and daycare starts the moment an opening comes up.

Yes. 5-day and 10-day prepaid packages are available at discounted daily rates.

Why Blaine Pet Parents Choose Hyline Hotel
Blaine sits right up against the Canadian border, and life here runs on a different rhythm than the rest of Whatcom County — border-crossing commutes, waterfront weather, and a downtown small enough that people notice a missing dog on the sidewalk. Pet parents in Blaine tend to be walkers. Peace Arch Historical State Park welcomes leashed dogs across its lawns, the paved Coast Millennium Trail out on the Semiahmoo Spit delivers Mount Baker and Twin Sisters views across Drayton Harbor, and Skallman Park gives the off-leash crowd a fenced place to actually let go of the leash. Birch Bay is a short drive south when the tide’s right.
What Blaine doesn’t have much of is structured weekday care. That’s the gap we fill. Families here run the 21 miles down I-5 to our farm because a fenced neighborhood park and a leashed loop around the spit don’t cover what a high-energy dog needs on a Tuesday — and because small playgroups, 25-plus fenced yards, and handlers who learn a dog’s name in the first week are worth more than convenience. For a lot of Blaine households, especially the ones whose schedules bend around border wait times, knowing exactly where the dog is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. is the whole point.
How to Get to Hyline Hotel from Blaine
The whole trip from Blaine runs about 21 miles and takes right around 27 minutes, and most of it is highway. Get yourself onto I-5 southbound — a mile and a half from town — and then just stay on it for the next 12 miles until Exit 262, signed for W Axton Rd/Main St in Ferndale. Take the exit and head east on W Axton Road. From there it’s a straight, easy 7.6 miles through Whatcom County farmland, and W Axton carries you the rest of the way to Hyline Hotel for Dogs at 1012 E Hemmi Rd, Everson, WA 98247. Two turns total after you leave Blaine, which is why a lot of our Blaine families tell us the drive is shorter than they expected.
