Handlers place each dog into a group that fits their personality, with rest breaks worked in throughout the day to keep things balanced. It’s exercise and social time with a purpose behind it, reinforced with positive-reinforcement handling that helps dogs communicate better with each other.

Our team carefully matches companions and manages interactions so the experience stays low-stress. Some dogs eventually work their way toward Play & Learn as they gain confidence, but that transition happens on the dog’s timeline, never forced. Because Day Stay involves more individualized attention, spots are limited.

On that first visit, our team will:
- Run a temperament assessment.
- Get to know your dog’s history, personality, and quirks.

If Day Stay is the right call but we’re at capacity, you can join the waitlist. In the meantime, your dog is still welcome to board with us, and daycare opens up as soon as a spot does.

What vaccinations are required for daycare?
To ensure the safety of all guests, dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. Vaccination records must be uploaded to Paw Partner prior to arrival.
How large are playgroups?
Groups are always under 10 dogs, with most averaging 3–6 dogs.
Is daycare supervised?
Absolutely. Playgroups are monitored 100% of the time by professional dog handlers.
What if my dog doesn’t enjoy large groups?
No worries. Our Day Stay program provides smaller groups and additional one-on-one interaction.
Do you require an evaluation?
Yes. Every new dog receives a temperament evaluation to determine the best-fit program.
Do you offer daycare packages?

Heading out from Ferndale, start toward 2nd Ave — you’ll pass Chase Bank on your right about 0.6 miles in, then continue straight for another 1.9 miles before the road carries you onto W Axton Rd. Stay on Axton Rd for roughly 3.2 miles, then turn left onto WA-539 N. Follow WA-539 N for about a mile, then turn right onto E Hemmi Rd.
